SOPA-OSHC is licensed to care for 45 school aged children per day from 6.30am – 6.00pm weekdays during Queensland State School Holidays .

Each day is child focused with imagination corner, loose parts play, lego, magnetics and more. A key educator focus ensures that children feel comfortable and adapt quickly to their surroundings. They quickly start creating friendships and developing new ways of operating. Children are kept active with a balanced educational plan that develops their social, emotional and physical well-being.

We ask that you pack your child’s morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. We find that with such an active program children are quite hungry by afternoon tea time.

Fees:

Vacation Care Fees start from $86.00 per day including daily 90 minute Robelle Domain excursion + daily 90 minute Circus Kids Workshop (which includes gymnastics / movement / acting & circus skills) .

Our Day:

We head off for our daily nature walk +play at Robelle Domain around 9.30am (9.00am in Summer Vacation Care) for 90 minutes. Ensure you arrive before this time, with your sun-safe hat, sun-safe shirt and closed toe shoes to allow you to make the most of your time outdoors. When we return, the service is divided into two zones of learning; an Active Play and Creative Play Zone. Two smaller groups are created and for the next three hours children learn through play. These smaller groups are age focused; Prep to Grade 3 children and Grade 4 and above. Children will experience a 90 minute Circus Kids Workshop with educators from The Studio of Performing Arts – Springfield which incorporates gymnastics, juggling, dance and acting AND age appropriate activities like slime making and art. During this time children are promoted to create and adapt their own play within the Creative Zone.
